Our Story
We Do Care Homes, Inc. was founded by Shawn Perkins, a visionary healthcare professional whose personal journey has shaped the compassionate, person-centered care philosophy that defines our organization today.
Growing up, Shawn Perkins witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness and those struggling to access quality healthcare. These early experiences ignited a lifelong passion for serving vulnerable populations and ensuring that every person, regardless of their circumstances, receives the dignity and care they deserve.
A Career Built on Compassion
With over 27 years of experience in healthcare and social services, Shawn Perkins has dedicated her career to bridging gaps in care for underserved communities. She has worked in various capacities including:
- Direct patient care in clinical settings
- Case management for individuals experiencing homelessness
- Veteran services and VA-approved care coordination
- Program development for supportive housing initiatives
- Healthcare advocacy and policy work
Why We Do Care Homes Exists
After years of working within traditional healthcare systems, Shawn Perkins recognized critical gaps in services for individuals who needed more than just medical care—they needed stable housing, supportive environments, and holistic wraparound services to truly thrive.
She founded We Do Care Homes, Inc. with a clear mission: to provide integrated home care, supportive housing, and veteran services that treat the whole person—not just their diagnosis. The organization was built on three core pillars:
- Compassion: Every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect
- Quality: Excellence in care is non-negotiable, regardless of ability to pay
- Community: We partner with local organizations to create a network of support
Our Commitment
“At We Do Care Homes, we don’t just provide services—we build relationships. Every patient, every resident, every family member is treated like our own. We understand that healthcare is personal, and we’re honored to walk alongside those we serve on their journey to health, stability, and independence.”
